Railzy covers the everyday train lookups: live running status with a station-by-station timeline, PNR status, trains between two stations, full schedules, and live station boards. All of it is free to use and none of it needs an account.

There is also a departure planner. Given a train and the station you are boarding from, it works back from the expected arrival time, subtracts how long you need to reach the station, and allows a buffer for getting from the entrance to the platform. That buffer is not a fixed number: a large terminus during rush hour is given more time than a small halt in the middle of the day. The page shows which buffer was applied and why.

Railzy is an independently built and operated website, run from India. It is a small project rather than a company product, and it is not a government or railway service. Not affiliated with Indian Railways, IRCTC or CRIS.

Train, station and timetable data comes from publicly available Indian Railways datasets, loaded into our own database and refreshed periodically. Searches and route lookups read from that database, which is why they return quickly.

Live running status and PNR status cannot be stored in advance, so they are requested from third-party rail data providers when you open the page. If one provider is unavailable, the request moves to the next one.

Punctuality figures are our own. We record how late trains are running at several points through the day and build up a history from those readings. A punctuality figure only appears on a train page once there are enough readings for it to mean anything.

Live rail data is not always available or complete, so each page says where its figures came from. Where a live feed is available, the page is labelled as live running status. Where it is not, the page is labelled as a schedule-based estimate, calculated from the timetable. The two are kept visibly separate, and an estimate is not presented as a confirmed position.

PNR results are never filled in from our own guesswork. If we cannot reach a provider, the page reports an error instead of showing a status.

For a journey that matters, please treat this site as a planning aid and check NTES or IRCTC before relying on it.

The train lookups are free. Running costs are covered by advertising shown on the site. Creating an account is optional and only saves preferences such as a home station and a default travel time.
